Her time is over.
Things are looking up.

She’s dirty and ugly.
He’s wicked but handsome.

Six months to toy with her.
Six months of vacation and a ton of money.

I’ll hurt her beyond repair.
I’ve been through much worse.

She’s difficult to control and doesn’t obey.
I’m done submitting to anyone or anything in this life.

I should hate her.
I should hate him.

The game has changed.
I will win.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to read and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

When it comes to dark romance, I either like them or I don't. There really isn't a whole lot of in-between. Sometimes, sure, there's a little bit -- I like the story but don't necessarily believe it -- but this one right here, while dark, was a really well told story with the romantic element that helped mold both our lead characters.

"I'm the big, badass lion and you're my cute little bunny..."

Braxton has an addiction, and it's unlike the typical type -- and he feeds his addiction by using those who are the typical. For six months, he takes on an addicted alley girl. He plays with her, does what he wants with her, and eventually disposes of her. There always, always comes a point in time where she no longer fulfills his needs...

This shit, no matter how gratifying, gets so goddamn exhausting. Especially at the end. I'm bored and tired. And the toy is used and done with. --Braxton Kennedy

Until there was one who didn't fit the mold any longer.

Brax and Jessica's story is highly unconventional and is certainly dark. Jessica proves again and again what a strong lead she is, much to Braxton's dismay. As her true story comes out, Braxton's colors come out, as well.

Definitely one of my favorite dark romance reads! And the end (not the epilogue)? The end surprised me a little bit, and that's always good for a reader (I say 'not the epilogue' because I read it first... there was no surprise when I got to it... but the end of the typical story... Yes, that surprised me).
