They're tight

They're on target

They're as alpha as men can get

The Dallas SWAT team is hiding one helluva secret...they're a pack of wolf shifters.

The team of elite sharpshooters is ultra-secretive-and also the darlings of Dallas. This doesn't sit well with investigative journalist Mackenzie Stone. They must be hiding something...and she's determined to find out what.

Keeping Mac at a distance proves impossible for SWAT team commander Gage Dixon. She's smart, sexy, and makes him feel alive for the first time in years. But she's getting dangerously close to the truth-and perilously close to his heart...

Oh, the joys of getting overwhelmed with tour books...

This is a book that was read and the review started back on January 16th. Yes. January. The 16th. And it's now 1/2 way through March.

Better late than never, right...?

As stated in my review of CHARMING THE BEAST, I never did the whole 'paranormal' thing. I liked to read stories that I could semi-relate to, stories that were at least plausable -- and werewolves and vampires and shapeshifters, oh my? Yeah, not plausable.

But I learned that a well-written paranormal allowed me to read for fun -- don't get me wrong, I read for fun regardless, but reading a book that 'couldn't happen'... well, it's pretty fun.

And HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF?

Totally fun. This may have been one of my favorite wolf shifter books... And while it's not a genre that is top of my to-read list... This series? Totally going to the top of my to-read list.

Mac is headstrong and gutsy. She wants the story and will do whatever she can to get it -- including staking out the house that the Dallas SWAT team occupies. When they go to a 'situation', she follows. Granted, she's not the best at not being noticed and they recognize the tail, but...

Gage has hand selected his SWAT crew. Not a single man on his team is not a wolf shifter. They do well keeping their true selves secret, but when one sexy reporter hangs out too close and starts asking too many questions... well, he agrees to let her in to the headquarters. She thinks she's going to uncover drugs, so he and his team is going to prove they're just strong men who are clean cops.

Everything about Mackenzie and Gage was fun to read. I love that he calls Mac by her full name and refuses to do differently -- even from the get-go. I also thoroughly enjoyed that he didn't want to share his paranormal self with her, but when it comes down to her safety, he does it and fears her reaction. Does she have a reaction? Abso-flipping-lutely, but it was to be expected.

I am super excited to see where Paige brings this series..!
